North Lake Tahoe | Olympic Valley, California
Lake Tahoe is incredibly special to us. Growing up in the Bay Area, Tahoe felt like a second home to Alex, who was fortunate enough to spend over 20 years of summer and winter vacations in Alpine Meadows with her family. From trips with middle school, high school, and college friends, to extended family members, and boyfriends (now future husband), it has a stronghold on her heart, and now Collin’s, too.
Ironically, the week before Collin and Alex would eventually connect on Bumble, they were both in Lake Tahoe with loved ones. Collin was on a camping trip with his best friend, Mikey (The Best Man), in South Lake Tahoe and Alex, was staying the North Lake Tahoe with her family and one of her best friends. The next week, they’d both be back in Southern California, swiping “right” and matching with each other on July 9th (Alex’s parent’s wedding anniversary).

Airports and Transportation Options
If your 10-hour summer roadtrip playlist isn’t quite ready, you’ve got some other options. There are two airports within a reasonable driving distance from The PlumpJack Inn!
Sacramento International Airport (SMF)
Address: 6900 Airport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95837
A 2hr (116 mi) drive to The PlumpJack Inn, Sacramento is a relatively short trip to Olympic Valley, boasts some beautiful views, and has the ultimate Bliss Family “must-stop”, restaurant-market on it’s route: Ikeda’s.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO)

A 55 minute (48 mi) drive to The PlumpJack Inn, Reno makes for a shorter commute to our venue. However, you may notice higher prices with limited flight times (and some more turbulence) compared to Sacramento.
Transportation from Reno
If you decide to fly into RNO, you have a few options! You can rent a car, use Turo, or check out a North Lake Tahoe Express shuttle service.
The red route on the North Lake Tahoe Express has a stop in Olympic Valley / Palisades Tahoe which will let you out at The PlumpJack Inn. View the schedule here!
Transportation from Sacramento
If you decide to fly into SMF, you’ll need to
get a rental car or use Turo.
Pro-tip: Check with your car insurance provider
(ie. AAA) or credit card provider to see if they have any partnerships with a rental car company!

Just a 6 min drive (2.6mi) from The PlumpJack Inn sits the blacked-out, luxurious Everline Resort & Spa, where “mountain meets modern”. If you’re a golfer, you may be interested in booking a round at The Links.
Olympic Valley Airbnb Rentals
If you’d like to rent a property with some fellow guests, this may be the option for you! If you stay in the Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, or Tahoe City, you’ll be within a 1-8 mile radius to all of the weekend’s activities - including the River Float.
